President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed serious concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East, warning that the situation could spiral out of control and endanger millions of innocent lives.
In a statement issued by the Press Wing of the Presidency, President Zardari urged all parties involved in the conflict to exercise maximum restraint. He emphasized the urgent need for dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of disputes to prevent further bloodshed and suffering.
“The situation in the Middle East could become unmanageable. Millions of innocent lives are at risk,” the President warned, adding that “lasting peace and stability in the region can only be achieved through dialogue.”
He called on the international community to play an active and constructive role in defusing the crisis and fostering a peaceful environment. “Global efforts are essential to ensure the stability of the region and the well-being of its people,” President Zardari asserted.
President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and urged regional and global stakeholders to prioritize humanitarian concerns and the long-term stability of the Middle East.
